  • Best car I have ever owned

This is automobile perfection as far as I am concerned. Having owned multiple C6 Corvettes including a Z06, I give this car a very good grade on performance and handling. This car is rock solid, air tight, smooth as silk, silent and every square inch of the interior oozes with world class quality. Combine those things with the amazing performance level and this car really rocks. I have had zero problems. I smile from ear to ear every time I settle into the driver's seat and hit the start button. The seats are amazingly comfortable. The electronics are simple to operate if you just spend a few minutes learning the routine. The safety features lead the industry. The Harmon Kardon stereo is top notch. Styling is awesome. This car turns heads every time it goes down the road. Zero complaints. Buy the car if you are considering it.
  • Cool looking and fast

I got this '15 CLS550 4Matic at the end of 2017, mostly for its style. It's a head turner. MSRP was $87K - I bought it at a dealer for $51K as a certified car with 25K miles. I looked up reviews online and 0-60 is 4.25 seconds. That's fast! Seat comfort for me up front is fine. The rear seat fits just 2 people and both legroom and headroom are compromised due to the car's design. My trunk had the "Comfort Box" option, which is ridiculous. This comfort box can put in a grocery bag so it doesn't move around. I had no space to carry all my junk in the trunk. I removed it and now there's a ton more height space in the trunk making it much more usable. Economy mode on the 7-speed transmission gives decent fuel mileage - I can get 26 mpg on the highway. That's actual mpg because the trip computer overstates average mpg by about 0.8 mpg. Handling is good enough with the new tires I put on: Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ all seasons. They tires are staggered, so they can't be rotated easily. I love the overhead view on the backup camera. Ventilated seats seem to push around the air that's in the car rather than have air conditioners in the seats. Massage function in the driver's seat is cool too. Rain sensing wipers work better than others I've had. Cons on this car: no steering wheel heater (option wasn't chosen). It'd be useful in New England. The nav system can't be programmed to a new address if the car is moving. The voice system is useless on the nav, despite me doing the specified training, etc. The nav system itself is terrible compared to some other brands I've had. The Harmon Kardon Logic 7 system has the weakest bass of any system I've had since my '60s cars with a single speaker. It's the same poor bass sound in my Mercedes wagon. I heard another Harmon Kardon system in another Mercedes car at the dealer and it was terrible too. Whatever the Mercedes upgrade system is, go for that if it's available. The auto high beam function works well sometimes, then not well at others - it's more reliable to do it myself. I don't have the Distronic cruise control because I really dislike that function on another car. I think it's for people who like to text while they drive. One problem was fixed under warranty: the lane keeping assist, which vibrates the steering wheel when hitting the lines on the road, just stopped working. Dealer had to replace the steering wheel along with the shaking thing (they're one unit). That would've cost over $2K if I was paying. The replacement doesn't shake the wheel much, so it doesn't warn as much. The start/stop function almost never works despite me keeping the battery fully charged with a battery maintainer. To me the cons are greatly outweighed by all the things I like about the car. I would buy it again.
  • Just Awesome Ride with Power to spare...

I'll start out by saying that I work in sales in the auto industry....Now I 1st became interested in this vehicle because of the outward looks...sleek..classy...unique unto itself...I bought this beauty with never taking a test drive or sitting in it(kinda dumb)...I just trusted what I read and I knew what appealed to me cosmetically...Once I drove it,I knew I had "done good". The layout of the interior is stunning and then comes the power plant...it accelerates at a pace I had not experienced in my dealership brands and we have the "hemi"(oops). The acceleration at any speed is outstanding-it was made to run!! I have had it since April '13 and only 2,000 miles-wish I didn't have to work so much to pay for it so I could drive it more. I love the back massage feature and the dual side bolster features. I take my wife out to dinner more often so we can drive it and the looks from others lets me know that I have a unique ride.
